Welcome

Welcome to Talk Marrickville Metro. The purpose of the website is to update you on our plans to upgrade the 24 year old centre.

The NSW Planning Assessment Commission (PAC) has approved plans to redevelop Marrickville Metro shopping centre.

The independent panel’s decision was made after a formal public meeting held on 13 February 2012, which gave the community an opportunity to comment on the Department of Planning & Infrastructure’s assessment report and recommendation.

Thank you to all who attended the meeting and to members of the community who had their say on the project throughout the planning process.

Over the past two years, we have listened to your concerns and had the opportunity to respond to them, including making extensive changes to our original plans last year. Your input has directly informed – and helped us to improve – plans for the Marrickville Metro upgrade.

With this decision, we are looking forward to creating a better shopping experience for our Marrickville Metro customers. At the same time, we are committed to working harder to be a better neighbour within the local community.

Thank you for your ongoing interest in the project.

Yours sincerely
